About Me

callumreevesHey up….it’s Callum Reeves here!

This is a short ‘about me’ section and an insight to why I’ve made the skinnytomuscle.co.uk website. Why bother, you ask?

Well, I’d ripped my back muscles doing the simplest of tasks and suddenly had a lot of time on my hands. Sure, I could have kicked back and watched box sets on Sky, played my Playstation to death, or just done nothing.

I did watch an awful lot of TV the day after my back went…and for the next week or so, but my word, it gets boring…there’s only so much Breaking Bad you can watch in one sitting! Also, the Playstation games needed me to be quick or die and with a screaming back, it can’t be done…so, I thought I’d make a website about something that I found useful recently.

I’m not a techie, but website building is something that can be done pretty easily, so that is where skinnytomuscle.co.uk came about.

About a year and a half ago me and my workmate, Woody, decided to build out meagre muscles into a proper set of gun and abs. We usually knocked off work at 4pm, went to the pub and then drifted home after an hour or so. This was before I bought a house, got married and had twins, by the way!

This visit to the pub started to get boring and as we were both 29, we thought we were getting passed it….so….we decided to join the local gym. We paid out dues and began in earnest.

I found it pretty hard to begin with, but Woody seemed to be nailing every session and not getting tired or weak. I, on the other hand, was a mess after every session and was starting to hate going there. Why was Woody miles ahead of me? We’re the same age, weight and had the same fitness levels. We still play football in the same team, and to be honest, I’m better than him in every department! So I couldn’t understand why I was the weaker one at the gym.

He was showing clear muscle definition on his arms, legs and abs. Me? I was the same as I was when I started only a few pounds lighter. He was also doing the reps etc. in perfect rhythm where as mine were shaky. I couldn’t understand?

Out of frustration, I asked him for help. I needed to know what he was doing right and what I was doing wrong. I even asked him if he was taking dodgy steroids! He found it funny that I had even asked,

Turns out he was using a muscle building supplement called Xtreme No, he’d bought off the net. His mate had recommended it and Woody went on to buy it. So why didn’t he tell me at first?

He told me he didn’t want to put pressure on himself because he thought he wouldn’t be able to keep up with me. If he told me he was taking a pre workout supplement, and it didn’t work, he would become disillusioned and pack it all in. Well, his results speak for themselves.

Swallowing my pride, I went and bought the same supplement as him, and do you know what? It worked! I was able to exercise for much longer and I felt great when the sessions were over. Something I’d never thought would be possible…it can only be down to Xtreme NO.

So, that’s why I have made this website. I didn’t want a site that needed loads of updating, I just wanted to build a site where I could recommended something I had used. It took me about 2 weeks to gather the information on the skinnytomuscle website which was perfect because my back is now in working condition.

Nothing complicated, a simple, tell it how it is, website. I’ve also learned all about search engines, content writing and WordPress. So it was a good exercise. I had written most of it on a free blog, but I’ve now transferred it all onto this domain name that I recently registered…Skinny To Muscle.

So that’s a bit about me and this website. I hope it can help someone who’s struggling with muscle building. As I write this now, I haven’t been to the gym for ages as I’ve since got married, had twins, bought a house and had a promotion at work. But now I aim to get back into bodybuilding because I’m slowly going to seed…but at least I know I can build muscle and try to get ripped. I’ve also put some articles on the main tab of the website about building muscle.
